What do I need to bring with me to get pierced?
The health department requires the following for everyone getting any piercing procedures done in Colorado. These are the health departments rules, so they apply to all piercing studios in Colorado, not just us.
Everyone getting pierced MUST have a photo ID! This includes minors, who also need a birth certificate and parent with a photo ID who is on the birth certificate. If a legal guardian is signing, photo ID and birth certificate for the minor is still required as well as court appointed guardianship papers. We also need the photo ID of any parent or legal guardian signing for a minor and they must be listed on their birth certificate or court appointed guardianship papers.
Acceptable forms of ID include:
- Drivers license or permit
- State issued ID
- Passport
- School ID with birth certificate
Again, a birth certificate is required for all minors getting pierced along with a photo ID
Please note that we cannot accept military ID’s as they are illegal to photo copy.
If the person signing for a minor is a legal guardian, court documents stating that they are the legal guardian are required. These must be from the court. No exceptions.
We are required by law to keep a copy of these with the paperwork of the person getting pierced. If you are missing any of the above, we cannot provide piercing services.
For simple jewelry changes, parents and legal guardians do not need to be present and ID’s are not required. The exceptions to this is if the piercing needs to be stretched, the jewelry is embedded, or if the piercing is a nipple or “below the belt” piercing (we will only handle nipple and “below the belt” piercings on people 18+).
Do you need an appointment or do you take walk-ins?
We highly recommend making an appointment. We can only accommodate walk-ins if we have availability. You can set up an appointment here or by calling the shop if you are looking to set up a same day appointment.
How long do I have to keep my piercing out of swimming pools, hot tubs, oceans, rivers, and other unhygienic bodies of water?
Since a healing piercing is considered an open wound, we recommend keeping it out of unhygienic bodies of water for the entire healing process of a piercing. For some piercings, you can use a waterproof wound sealant bandage to protect your piercing from the water. This should only be used on piercings where the bandage can be airtight (usually navels, nipples, and sometimes dermals) and recommend waiting at least one month before using a bandage to enter unhygenic bodies of water, just to be safe.

Do you sell just the jewelry?
Of course! We pride ourselves on having a large selection of jewelry for both fresh and healed piercings. We can also assist in helping you choose the perfect size and installing the jewelry.
Can you help me remove or install my own jewelry?
We can indeed! We will only install your own jewelry if your piercing is fully healed. For healing piercings, the jewelry has to be made out of very specific types of metals, as well as be certain lengths and shapes. Even if the jewelry packaging says it’s made out of “______” metal, there is no way to know exactly what grade of metal it is, if it is coated, or if only part of the jewelry is made out of the listed metal. Due to this, if your piercing is still healing, we have to use our jewelry to ensure that your piercing heals properly.
Can I bring my own jewelry in to get pierced with?
Unfortunately not. We legally have to provide the jewelry for initial piercings. One reason for this is because we have to ensure that the jewelry has not been worn previously by anyone else. Another reason is because for piercings to heal properly, the jewelry must be made of very specific types of metal, as well as be certain lengths and shapes. We are able to view mill certificates from the companies we buy our jewelry from stating exactly what their jewelry is made of. Even if you bring in jewelry and the packaging says it’s made out of “______” metal, there is no way to know exactly what grade of metal it is, if it is coated, or if only part of the jewelry is made out of the listed metal.
I am allergic to certain types of metals. Do you have anything that I can get pierced with that I won't have a reaction to?
We do! We carry implant grade titanium, niobium, and gold in 14k and higher. All of our jewelry meets the Association of Professional Piercers standards for initial piercing jewelry, which means it has been proven safe to be worn in initial piercings, as well as being inert and compatible with the body as to decrease the risk of irritation, allergy, or infection.
Please note that it is possible to be allergic to any type of metal, even gold and titanium (although very rare). The most common metal allergy is nickel. A common metal to find among piercing studios is surgical steel, and all surgical steel contains nickel, which is why we carry very little surgical steel in our studio (and that which we do have is implant grade steel). Titanium is nickel free. Gold jewelry is alloyed with other metals as well. In order to pierce you with something you won’t have a reaction to, it helps to know exactly which metal you have an allergy to.
How long do I have to keep my piercing in for? When can I start changing it?
You want to leave your piercing in for the ENTIRE healing period. Do not take it out for any reason. Not to clean it, change it, etc. If you do have to remove it while it is healing for some reason, it can become very difficult (if not impossible) to reinsert it on your own. We strongly recommend coming back in to us or another professional to have it reinserted. This way we can sterilize the jewelry and reinstall it while causing the least amount of trauma to the piercing possible. You can start changing your jewelry out on your own when the piercing is 100% healed. We can still assist in jewelry changes even after your piercing is healed if you prefer.
Do you pierce infants earlobes?
We do not. The youngest that we pierce earlobes at is 4 years old.
Can a get something repierced in the same spot as before?
The answer to this question is almost always a yes. The only reasons why we wouldn’t want to repierce the same spot is if there was visible excessive scarring or if the placement wasn’t the best. Sometimes the old piercing is also still open. If we have reason to believe that it is, we will check and see if it is open, and if it is, we can stretch the hole so it can accommodate jewelry in it again.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, card, and apple pay.
Are you supposed to tip your piercer?
It is standard practice to tip your piercer, and tips are always appreciated. If you feel that you shouldn’t or cannot, we completely understand.
